Erika, you've written a brilliantly illuminating piece on the war with Iran and its many facets and trajectories. I can't help but wonder if the so-called "powers that be" in Washington, DC possess such a comprehensive overview as you have presented. It certainly doesn't seem so - particularly with Trump behaving in his usual "loose cannon" manner based on his near total lack of understanding/interest/comprehension of international affairs. It is scary to think he is "in charge" on our side of the equation. Where are any savvy and informed advisors to better understand and guide our foreign policies and responses to perceived and/or real threats to our nation? How I wish you were among those meeting in the Oval office or "situation room" when evaluating and deciding what America's strategies need to effectively be! Congratulations on presenting your readers another well-thought, logical and informational review.
Thank you, I appreciate that. My focus is less on individual decision-makers and more on the underlying systems shaping what options are available and how they’re interpreted.
